Meet Lauren

Hello, I’m Lauren, and I’m so happy you’re here! I approach therapy with curiosity, warmth, and authenticity in an effort to bring about a brave, safe, and affirming space. Therapy with me means you’ll not only have a place to be heard, but an advocate who is truly invested in your growth and well-being.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland, holding a Master’s in Clinical Social Work with a concentration in Children and Families from University of Maryland, Baltimore and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dickinson College, PA.

I am deeply committed to ongoing learning and have pursued extensive training in trauma-informed care and LGBTQ+ wellness. Prior to becoming independently licensed, I was supervised by an Internal Family Systems–certified therapist specializing in trauma, an experience that continues to shape and inform the work I do today.

Who I Work With

I work with children (10+), teens, young adults, and adults to ease anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, ADHD, stress, and life transitions, helping clients feel understood, supported, and empowered in their daily lives. I offer virtual therapy services to clients throughout Maryland, along with in-person therapy at our conveniently located Federal Hill office in Baltimore.

How I Work

I adapt my approach to reflect the unique needs of each individual, drawing from several frameworks:

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Expressive Arts

  • Feminist Therapy and Systems theory

  • Internal Family Systems

Through an integrative, trauma-informed, person-centered approach, we’ll foster grounding and attunement to your self and your relationships. We will face past, present, and future journeys together with grace, humility, and honestly, a little silliness when appropriate!

A Bit More About Me

In addition to private practice, I have provided therapy in a behavioral health clinic and a public middle school through a contract with Howard County. I’m a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Additionally, I am especially passionate about racial justice, immigration rights, the LGBTQ+ community, and criminal justice reform.

Outside the Therapy Room

Outside of work, I can be found spending time with my cats (who you will absolutely meet over Telehealth), reading, taking care of my plants, and roaming around Baltimore City shops and cafes.
